Lee Gyu-saeng (69), who was elected as the Incheon City Sports Association Chairman in 2022, was declared to have had his election invalid.

According to the Incheon City Sports Council on the 27th, the 14th Civil Division of the Incheon District Court (Presiding Judge Kim Young-hak) accepted the plaintiff's claim in the lawsuit filed by former Incheon 커뮤니티 City Sports Council Standing Vice President Kang In-deok against the Incheon City Sports Council to confirm the invalidation of the election of the president.

The court partially accepted Vice Chairman Kang's argument and ruled that Chairman Lee's election should be invalidated.

Former Vice Chairman Kang previously claimed that the composition of the electoral college was incorrect during the Incheon City Sports Association election in December 2022 and that Chairman Lee had engaged in advance campaigning.

An official from the Incheon City Sports Association said, “We have not yet received the verdict,” and “We plan to review whether to appeal after confirming the contents.”
